Help with the Whisperer Plan
Are you really against Stevia as it does not affect blood sugar or insulin levels?
At Whisperer HQ, we believe in eating real food, food that we recognise as food. Artificial sweeteners, highly processed chemicals, for the most part, were introduced by the food industry in an attempt to deal with the obesity crisis. Despite the massive use of artificial sweeteners, there has been no halt in the numbers becoming obese. So, what’s going on? We have written an article on the subject, which you will find here: https://dietwhisperer.com/blog/2022-05-20-are-artificial-sweeteners-bad-for-you
I bought erythritol to have in my coffee, but it says 100g carbs per 100g, but at the of the packet it says zero net carbs no effect on blood sugar levels
Erythritol is an artificial sweetener, and we have an article on artificial sweeteners, which you will find here. https://dietwhisperer.com/blog/2022-05-20-are-artificial-sweeteners-bad-for-you
At Whisperer HQ, we really believe in eating real food and avoiding chemicals. Some of these so-called natural products, while they are from plants contain huge doses, sometimes 200-300 times that found in nature. Such large doses may have unpredictedlong-term effects. At Whisperer HQ,we like to help our gut bugs and spare them these chemicals! They help us and we help them.
Can you advise what week to I should follow at the end of the 12 weeks, to continue my weight loss. I have around 3 stone to lose in total?
Once you have finished the 12-week Diet Whisperer Plan, if you wish to lose more weight, repeat the last 4-week block. Go back to week 9 and carry on until week 12. You can continue to repeat this 4-week block, until you have reached your target weight.
I’m concerned that the introduction of treat meals signals the end of weight loss. Please tell me what to do to continue with weight loss after week 8
Some people need the encouragement of a treat meal during their Whisperer Plan, and it helps to keep them going. We have had a lot of feedback that this is something people really look forward to. People also use a treat meal to meet friends and family.
If you don't want or need a treat meal, then you don't have to have a treat meal. Carry on with your food, as you are doing. But weight loss will continue if you have a treat meal and the extra motivation that treat meals bring has helped many Whisperers.
I’m on week 8, I haven’t lost any weight for three weeks. Help!
There are some issues that can cause weight loss to stall, and you might watch out for these:
- Late night eating. Ideally you should finish eating 4 hours before bedtime.
- Sleep problems-Both the amount of sleep and the quality of sleep matter. We have two articles on this, which you will find here: https://dietwhisperer.com/blog/2022-01-17-how-many-hours-sleep-do-you-needand https://dietwhisperer.com/blog/2022-01-10-how-to-sleep-better
- Stress-Excess cortisol prevents weight loss and stress is a cause of weight gain.
- Too much exercise. If you suddenly start exercising during your Whisperer journey, weight loss may stall.
- Medical conditions such as an underactive thyroid
- Not following the Whisperer Plan, snacking or eating the wrong foods
I am starting week 6 and so far have lost 16 pounds. I have over the last week stayed at the same weight, so I am asking if this is normal?
Is it not uncommon to find that your weight plateaus for a short time Your body holds onto its energy stores-our ancestor's lives depended on this and we descended from survivors. Be patient, carry on with the Whisperer Plan and weight loss will resume. Once you add in longer fasts, you will use fat to fuel, then lose fat and lose weight.
